    Prior to joining CMC, Steve was an Assistant Professor of Voice at the University of Central Arkansas. He actively performed as an operatic tenor throughout Italy, China, and the United States with companies such as The Santa Fe Opera, The Glimmerglass Festival Opera, Sarasota Opera, Minnesota Opera, Opera in the Rock, The Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Motor City Brass Band, Flint Symphony Orchestra, Saginaw Symphony, and others. Steve was the Music Director at Okemos Community Church in Okemos, Michigan, from 2015-2018 and was Music Director at Oakland Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Clarkston, Michigan from 2013-2015. In addition to being the Director of Worship Arts, he is also teaching voice as an adjunct professor at Hope College. 

    He holds a Doctorate in Voice Performance, Masters Degrees in Voice Performance and Music Theory Pedagogy, and a Bachelors Degree in Voice Performance from Michigan State University.
