When You Pray – A Study of Six Prayers in the Bible

Room 166 in the adult wing
Do you have trouble thinking of words to say to God when you pray? Are you afraid some emotions are too intense to express to God? Do you reach the end of a day only to realize you haven’t prayed at all? You’re not alone. Prayer is the way we relate to God, but sometimes it’s a struggle. Throughout God’s Word, we encounter many voices who teach us how to pray. In When You Pray, a video-based, homework-driven study, six beloved Bible teachers will lead us through a study of six prayers found in the Bible that can inspire our own prayers. We’ll learn that God welcomes our praise and lament, our thanksgiving and intercession. We’ll see examples of how to pray when we’re alone and when we’re gathered with others. Above all, we’ll be reminded that there’s no one right way to pray. As we draw near to God through prayer, we’ll find our faith strengthened and our heart united to Christ.
For WOW (Room 166), the full group, often 8 to 12 women, meets together in one room to view the DVD-based video and for discussions of both the DVD content on the week the DVD is shown and discussions of homework study material on the alternating week. (Study Guide with steaming video access: $25)
