The Gospel on the Ground: The Grit and Glory of the Early Church in Acts
Wednesday mornings, 9:25-11:00am
Meeting , January 7 – April 8 (14 weeks)
Contacts: Tam Velderman, Lori Baker
Room 167 in the adult wing
Come along with Bible teacher Kristi McLelland as she unpacks the life of the early church in the Book of Acts, showing us that the kingdom of God is always on the move, offering purpose and joy to those searching for true fulfillment and hope. See how God’s Word sustains us even in the most difficult of times as we embrace the transformational experience of the Spirit’s work. And the Lord continues to write his redemptive story through our lives today.
This is a video-based, homework and discussion study. For WOW (Room 167), the full large group meets together in one room to view the DVD-based video before breaking into smaller table groups for discussion. Each table group is assigned to their own room, typically 7 to 10 per group, and is led by a facilitator specific to that group. Discussions alternate between the DVD content on the week the DVD is shown and discussions of homework study material on the alternating week. (Study Guide with video access: $25)
