You have been created with gifts, talents, and a heart to serve. We are thrilled you have a passion to serve in ministry and to use your gifts to further God’s Kingdom.

There is value in a good volunteer and our attitudes make a difference! Not only does an enthusiastic and positive attitude pull people in and get them connected to community, but it is the catapult to lasting impact.

We are looking for passion filled volunteers who have a love for God and a love for serving others. Someone who is struggling and challenging themselves to become more like Christ. Who is willing to learn and grow. Knowledge of faith and theology is NOT essential, but an understanding of your own faith journey is important.

Worship Arts Ministry

Select which area of Worship Arts would you be interested in serving:

SERVICE READERS: Service readers are given a reading of scripture to share with the congregation during a service. Often used for the “Call to worship” on Sunday mornings, but can also be incorporated in a special service such as Christmas Eve.

PRELUDE MUSICIANS: Open our Sunday worship service with a musical piece; from a piano solo to teaming up with others to worship through music.

CHOIR: Make a joyful noise and join our choir! (High school and older.)

BAND: Use your musical talents to serve in our worship band!

ORCHESTRA: Looking to use your musicianship for the Lord? Join our Orchestra. (High school and older.)

Children's Ministry

Select which area of Children's Ministry would you be interested in serving:

WORSHIP & WONDER: Help out with kids pre-school through 5th grade. Runs during Sunday service.

CARE CENTER SUNDAY: Watch and care for kids from birth through 3 years of age. Runs during Sunday service (9:15-10:30), and through Second Hour (10:45-11:45).

SECOND HOUR: Watch and care for kids preschool through 5th grade; 10:45-11:45 on Sundays

SPARK: Be a SPARK small group leader on Wednesdays for kids preschool through 5th grade. All resources provided. 6PM-7:30PM, September - April, minus school breaks

CARE CENTER WEDNESDAY: Watch and care for kids from birth to 3 years of age, Wednesdays, 6PM-7:30PM

Youth Ministry

Select which area of Youth Ministry would you be interested in serving:

ANNUAL YOUTH BANQUET: Volunteers needed for our annual youth banquet October 6th, 2024. More details to come.

COOK SUNDAY NIGHT DINNER: Provide a meal for about 50 students on a Sunday night!

SMALL GROUP LEADER: Discipling and walking along side a group of 5-20 students. All resources are provided. Wednesday & Sunday nights. Show up, be present, and have fun.

MISSION TRIP VOLUNTEER: Provide extra set of hands and eyes for our youth directors. Some driving might be involved, but not required. Willingness to be with the students and encourage them during the week.

Facilities

Select which area of Facilities would you be interested in serving:

LANDSCAPING: Help care for our beautiful facility, cleaning and landscaping Monday mornings 9AM - noon with a lunch to follow.

MAINTENANCE: Help also needed throughout the week for light maintenance of the facility.

BUS DRIVER: Class C CDL with a Passenger Endorsement required. Driving opportunities include: Sunday morning & nights, Youth Group, Wednesday nights (as needed). Anyone that currently drives a school bus could drive the church bus.

Hospitality

Select which area of Hospitality would you be interested in serving:

INFO KIOSK: Welcome and serve people that approach the Info desk with questions related to CMC. Pointing them to appropriate resources, directing them to an area they are searching for, answering questions regarding specific needs, or CMC events they may be inquiring about. Arrive at the desk at 8:45AM - 11:00 am (staying at the desk throughout the worship service).

GREETERS: Welcome everyone with a smile, hug, or handshake as they arrive in the doors. Help make each person who enters know that they are welcome here, feel as comfortable as possible, and receive information they may need.

USHERS: Be a welcoming and smiling face as you hand out bulletins. People will seat themselves.

KITCHEN: Help serve food and goodies with the kitchen crew! Wednesday evening dinners, and/ or Sunday morning goodies.

Care

Select which area of Care would you be interested in serving:

FIRST RESPONDERS: Did you know that CMC has a Medical First Responder scheduled on Sunday mornings and special events that are available to assist in medical emergencies if needed? Are you certified in CPR and a medically trained individual? We would love to have you join our pool of volunteers that serve on a rotating basis according to their availability.

CARE PARTNERS: Our valued care partners call on elderly and lonely on a regular basis. Primary strengths required: relational, gifts of mercy, compassion, helps, and service; general knowledge of the life of the church and strong mature Christian faith.

SERVE IT UP WITH LOVE: Be a “chef” and donate a fresh meal every month to those who would be blessed by it. The schedule, instructions, and recipes will all be provided. Meals are hand delivered by others.

FREEZER MEALS: Give the gift of a healthy freezer meal to those in need. Either freeze or bring in the meal immediately to the church office. CMC staff will place it in the freezer here to help those who have a temporary need.

CARE AND REPAIR: Provide nonprofessional help and assistance with home repair and maintenance for those who are unable or are experiencing financial difficulties.

MEMORIAL FOOD SERVERS: Work as a team member to set up, serve, and clean up luncheon as planned and provided by the family. Strengths required: a servants heart and capable body.

Production

From operating slides, to lights, or running sound, there is a place for you no matter your experience level. We will train you for success! Our greatness need is slide operator. Very easy to operate, similar to running a powerpoint slideshow.
